Position: Assistant Restaurant Manager job
About: Auro Hotels is seeking a detail-oriented and customer service-focused Restaurant Manager to join the team at Marriott Charleston. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining efficient restaurant operations, providing exceptional service to guests, and ensuring a positive dining experience in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements: Must be able to work in a fast-paced and customer service-oriented environment; to perform duties under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner; to work as part of a team and independently; to take instructions from General Manager; to have problem-solving skills; to communicate effectively with team members, guests, and the public; maintain communication with the Chef; understand menu changes and timing; have knowledge of menu items, garnishes, and preparation methods; be familiar with the wine list, cocktails, and bar selections; check food quality before serving; manage restaurant operations efficiently, including handling opening/closing duties, team coordination, and responding to guest requests; accountable for beverage cost control; be aware of hotel functions and special events; knowledgeable on computer systems and POS; assist servers as needed with table bussing, food service, and wine presentation; prepare weekly work schedules and control labor costs; complete weekly tip reporting; maintain guest relations charge log.
