About: Albany Medical Center is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Hematology/Oncology – D4E department located at 43 New Scotland Avenue in Albany, NY. The Assistant Nurse Manager plays a vital role in the delivery of patient care, setting goals, and ensuring nursing leadership and quality within their designated patient care area.
Requirements: A Baccalaureate in nursing degree is required; a Master’s of Nursing is preferred. Must hold current New York State Registered Nurse registration or be eligible for licensure in New York State. Management experience is preferred. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrate professional skills, including decision-making and mentoring abilities. Ability to identify problems, collect data, and make valid conclusions. Physically capable of meeting the job’s demands, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Willingness to work in an environment with potential exposure to infectious materials and chemicals. Must be onsite for the majority of work as the role cannot be done remotely.
