Position: Assistant Manager – Security Operations Center
About: Community Transit, located in Washington State, is seeking an Assistant Manager of the Security Operations Center (SOC) responsible for overseeing a dedicated team and ensuring the safety and efficiency of transit operations. Requirements: Minimum qualifications: 3 to 5 years of dispatch or security operations center experience in security, law enforcement, or related field; 2 years of supervisory experience; Valid Washington State driver’s license within 30 days of hire; Ability to pass background investigation and obtain necessary clearances within 30 days of hire. An equivalent combination of education and experience is also accepted. Knowledge requirements include understanding of public safety operations, security activities, transit security trends, and alarm, barrier, dispatch, and communication systems. Skill requirements encompass conflict resolution, customer service, team management, communication, leadership during critical incidents, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. Preferred knowledge and skills may include working with diverse populations, security officer training, experience in public transit or public/private industries, and familiarity with specific security systems like Lenel OnGuard and Avigilon. Working conditions involve indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions, exposure to automotive fumes, and occasional heavy lifting. Employees are expected to participate in the on-call Duty Officer rotation for emergencies and perform duties of Assistant Manager – Security Services in their absence.
