About: Harvard’s Hospitality & Dining Services – Catering department is seeking a proactive and experienced Catering & Event Sales Manager II to join their team. This position is essential at Harvard University, focusing on delivering exceptional catering services for high-volume, fine dining events. The role involves overseeing various operational aspects, managing staff, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Requirements: High school diploma and at least 5 years prior front of the house catering experience in high volume, fine dining events with off-premise or hotel catering operations; previous supervisory experience; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams); ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; a valid driver’s license and willingness/ability to drive; ability to develop creative concepts/menus, knowledge of food and event management trends, strong communication and interpersonal skills, time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills, adaptability to changing environments, professional judgment, strong customer service focus
