Position: Assistant Manager

About: As an assistant manager at a company named Art’s, you will oversee all baristas, estimate food and beverage costs for requisitions or supply purchases, and investigate and resolve food quality and service complaints. You will coordinate with food preparators and other personnel to plan menus and dining operations. You will be responsible for food and preparation inspections to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations. Additionally, you will train staff in customer service, product knowledge, and safe work practices, providing respectful and constructive feedback to encourage their successful performance. In this role, you will review financial transactions and monitor the budget to ensure efficient operations and that expenditures stay within budget limitations. Your responsibilities will include curating a positive environment that provides fast, efficient, and friendly service to customers and coworkers, and managing a clean, organized, and stocked environment. You will also ensure all cash handling procedures are upheld while running shifts, demonstrating efficiency in proactive problem-solving to satisfy customers.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or at least one year of related experience or training; equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications: Previous supervisory experience and some barista experience. Certificates, licenses, and registrations: Valid driver’s license; Approval as a SCAD-authorized driver. Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
