Position: Assistant Director of Occupational Therapy
About: Under the supervision of the Director, the Assistant Director manages the daily clinical and operational activities of the Occupational Therapy Department, including scheduling, shift coverage, work assignments, and payroll preparation. They supervise the staff occupational therapists and therapy aides as needed, develop and administer education and competency programs for the Department, provide independent occupational therapy services through evaluation and treatment, conduct education and training of patients and related disciplines, assist in measuring outcomes, and support quality and safety initiatives. Qualifications include eight years of occupational therapy experience, including five years with a pediatric population and three years in a supervisory role, a New York State occupational therapy license and registration. Education requirements include a Master’s degree and graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program. This is a full-time position with a salary range of $120,000.00 – $140,000.00 per year.
Requirements: Eight years of experience as an occupational therapist in a relevant setting, including five years of pediatric experience and three years in a supervisory role; New York State occupational therapy license and registration; Master’s degree required; Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
