Position: Assistant Director, Major Gifts
About: The Stamps School of Art and Design at the University of Michigan is seeking an experienced development professional for a leadership role in fundraising and alumni engagement efforts. This position will involve collaborative work within the development team under the supervision of the Director of Development and Campaign Initiatives and the Dean.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of fundraising or relevant experience in sales or related field; interest in contemporary art and creative practices; demonstrated track record in financial development and sales productivity; ability to travel extensively and work nights and weekends; demonstrated problem-solving, conflict resolution, and customer service skills; strong written and oral communication skills with superior attention to detail and proofreading skills; excellent judgement and comfort working with diverse constituencies; ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality; experience working independently and collaboratively in teams; contribute to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
