Position: Assistant Director, Facilities Management and Planning
About: The University of Evansville, located in Evansville, IN, is seeking a dedicated Assistant Director of Facilities Management and Planning to join their team. This key role oversees grounds maintenance, landscaping, fleet services, small construction projects, and waste management across the main campus, residence halls, athletic areas, and additional University properties. The Assistant Director will also play a pivotal role in strategic planning, capital improvement projects, and sustainability efforts to ensure the campus remains a safe, attractive, and functional environment for students, faculty, and staff.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Turf Management, Horticulture, Arboriculture, Facilities Management, or related field; 3-5 years of experience managing grounds, landscaping, or facilities teams; Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, Word, and database management tools; Knowledge of facility maintenance, repair practices, mechanical systems, and financial management in a campus or institutional setting; Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
