Position: Line Cook

About: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, and ensuring that all food is prepared according to our kitchen’s standards of excellence. Experience on both hot and cold sides of a line or high-volume kitchens is preferred.

Requirements: Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in menu planning, including seasonal offerings and special dietary needs. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling and storage practices. Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when reordering is necessary. Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Line Cook or Prep Cook in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of food handling, kitchen safety, and sanitation practices. Familiarity with menu planning and meal preparation for various dietary needs. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. A passion for culinary arts and commitment to providing exceptional food service. An ability to perpetuate a positive and respectful culture amongst all teammates.
