Position: Administrative Assistant, University Counseling Center
About: The Administrative Assistant position is part of the University Counseling Center (UCC) at Vanderbilt University, responsible for front desk operations and administrative/front desk support. The UCC emphasizes creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for Vanderbilt students, offering culturally responsive services and promoting mental health and wellbeing. This role is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Administrative Manager, serving as a primary administrative and operational liaison with internal and external departments/agencies.
Requirements: An associate’s degree is necessary; a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization is preferred. At least three years of comparable experience is necessary; proven customer service, calendar management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities are necessary. Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and in teams, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are required. Experience in higher education and office environments with confidentiality considerations is preferred.
