Position: 1957 Events & Support Services Manager
About: The History Center located at 345 W Kellogg Blvd in St. Paul, MN 55102 is seeking an Events & Support Services Manager to oversee event rental and parking programs while providing exceptional customer experiences and supporting revenue opportunities for the Minnesota Historical Society (MNHS). This role involves coordinating building schedules for private events, managing equipment rental and repairs, overseeing parking operations, and supervising events and support services staff.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, event management, hospitality, communications, or related field; 5 years of experience in event planning, facility operations, or hospitality services; supervisory experience including staff hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation; excellent customer service and problem-solving skills; budget management experience; ability to coordinate events, manage logistics, and handle diverse physical and cognitive needs; commitment to diversity and inclusion; strong communication skills; proficiency in computer programs; valid driver’s license; ability to lift up to 30 pounds
