The team is passionate about bringing joy and ease to what is often one of the most significant days in a couple’s life, ensuring every detail is carefully managed and that clients feel supported and confident throughout their journey.

The Lead Wedding Coordinator position in Michigan represents an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in becoming wedding planners or advancing their careers in event coordination. This contract role provides flexibility, allowing coordinators to choose their own schedules while being compensated at a rate of $350 per project, with each project requiring approximately 10 to 12 hours of commitment. Training is provided to equip new hires with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in this dynamic role. Coordinators joining Leigh & Co. will be part of a collaborative team structure, working alongside client experience managers and assistant coordinators to ensure seamless wedding day execution.

As a Lead Wedding Coordinator, you will take on a critical leadership role to manage the planning and onsite execution of weddings primarily for the 2026 season and beyond. Responsibilities include conducting final details calls with clients to confirm logistics and timeline, facilitating the ceremony rehearsal with all participants, overseeing ceremony and reception setup in line with the event’s design, and serving as the primary onsite advocate for the couple. Your role will entail managing vendor arrivals, providing clear communication to ensure setup aligns with the event plan, supporting the wedding party and family members, and ensuring the proper packing and accounting of end-of-event items. The position demands a calm, solution-oriented presence to address any challenges that arise on the wedding day, thereby maintaining a smooth and memorable guest experience. This role is ideal for motivated, detail-oriented professionals who are passionate about weddings and customer service, and who enjoy working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. Taking on this role at Leigh & Co. Events offers the chance to grow within a reputable company, gain valuable experience in wedding coordination, and participate in a rewarding career that celebrates love and celebration at its core.
