Job Requirements

  • Holds a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • demonstrates 1+ years of prior relevant sushi experience
  • possesses strong knife skills and knowledge of sushi preparation techniques

  • 1+ years of prior relevant sushi experience
  • strong knife skills and knowledge of sushi preparation techniques
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • good communication and teamwork skills
  • knowledge of kitchen sanitation standards
  • culinary training or certification is a plus

Job Duties

  • Prepare sushi and other Japanese dishes with accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail
  • apply advanced knife skills and maintain superior plate presentation
  • follow recipes and specifications set by the Chef to ensure food quality and consistency
  • conduct regular inventory of assigned items, ensuring proper par levels are maintained
  • maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and proper functioning of all kitchen equipment and work areas
  • communicate with chefs and teammates to address and resolve any challenges
  • assist with preparation in pantry and other kitchen areas as needed
  • demonstrate knowledge of menu items, culinary techniques, and proper use of kitchen tools
