  • Proven experience in culinary roles within the food industry
  • Strong knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
  • Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food presentation techniques
  • Skilled in food preparation methods including cooking, slicing, and garnishing using proper knife skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Positive attitude towards learning and kitchen operations

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in culinary roles within the food industry, including fine dining or restaurant experience
  • Strong knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
  • Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food presentation techniques
  • Skilled in food preparation methods such as cooking, slicing, and garnishing using proper knife skills
  • Background in dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus
  • Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards learning new techniques and kitchen operations

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of sushi, Japanese dishes, and other menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
  • Assist in menu planning to ensure a diverse and appealing selection of dishes
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices
  • Support food preparation activities such as chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients with precision knife skills
  • Ensure all food safety regulations are followed to uphold health standards
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver timely service during busy hours and special events
  • Contribute to inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or issues promptly
