As a part-time Receptionist at Feather Sound Country Club, you will play a pivotal role as the first point of contact for visitors and members. This position is integral in ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk and administrative functions with a high level of professionalism and customer service. You will be responsible for managing incoming phone calls, greeting guests, assisting with member inquiries, and supporting various administrative tasks throughout the club. This part-time role includes working weekends and holidays, requiring flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of the club's dynamic environment.
The receptionist will support various departments, including events and membership services, assisting with member briefings, booking updates, event reservations, and guest tracking. You will be tasked with handling administrative duties such as sorting mail, coordinating express mail pick-ups and deliveries, and providing general office support. This position demands excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining a courteous and welcoming demeanor. Experience with software programs like MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook is essential to perform the required duties effectively.
Maintaining confidentiality of client, company, and personnel information is critical in this role, as is a commitment to upholding the club's high standards and policies. The role requires a professional phone etiquette, strong communication skills, and a proactive, problem-solving attitude. This position is hourly and non-exempt, reporting directly to the Private Event Director, and located on-site at the Feather Sound Country Club. Candidates should expect to work in an office environment with physical demands including occasional lifting, bending, and sustained computer use. The club maintains a drug-free workplace and operates under at-will employment policies in Florida. Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Some college preferred
- Prior receptionist or related experience preferred
- Experience in a country club, hospitality or high-end service environment preferred

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Answering phone calls in a professional manner and routing calls as necessary
- Answering, forwarding, and screening phone calls politely and efficiently
- Greeting visitors with a positive and helpful attitude
- Assisting with a variety of administrative tasks including copying, faxing, taking notes, sorting and distributing mail
- Coordinating the pick-up and delivery of express mail services such as FedEx and UPS
- Supporting the events and membership department by conducting member briefings and updating bookings
- Handling reservations for events and members
- Accurately logging and tracking guests and vendor visits
- Assisting with member inquiries regarding club events, dining reservations, and general information
- Supporting other departments with administrative tasks as needed
- Performing ad-hoc administrative duties as assigned
- Maintaining strict confidentiality of client, company, and personnel information
- Demonstrating a strong commitment to the mission and values of the organization
- Adhering to company attendance standards
