Reporting directly to the Clinical Trials Office Manager, the CRN CTO works in collaboration with Lead Clinical Research Associates, study teams, hospital department administrators, and external sponsors to ensure all clinical research activities comply with federal regulations, institutional policies, and sponsor requirements. This professional plays a key role in coordinating team activities, managing procedural logistics, delivering protocol-specific training, and maintaining adherence to research standard operating procedures. The CRN CTO is responsible for planning and evaluating nursing care for clinical trial participants, including management of adverse event reporting and specimen collection.\n\nMoreover, the position involves extensive involvement in quality assurance and compliance efforts, working closely with Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance teams to uphold rigorous standards. The CRN CTO actively participates in investigator meetings, site initiation visits, and study monitoring to facilitate smooth study conduct. Candidates must demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of clinical trial design, execution, and regulatory processes, particularly in early-phase pediatric research. This role demands exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and a strong collaborative spirit. Candidates with experience in neurology, neurosurgery, oncology, or pediatrics within acute care settings are highly desirable. In addition, proficiency with database management tools such as REDCap and electronic medical record systems is preferred. The position requires a commitment to ongoing certification maintenance including Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
