Job Description
The Neighborhood Event Planner & Party Host is a crucial role dedicated to fostering a vibrant and inclusive community atmosphere within a residential neighborhood situated in the Upper East Side. This role is part of a dynamic team focused on enhancing the living experience of residents by organizing well-thought-out social events and programming aimed at building genuine connections among neighbors. The establishment emphasizes the importance of community engagement through regular neighborhood meet-ups, social clubs, and personalized outreach to new residents to ensure everyone feels welcome and connected.
The company positioned in this upscale residential area is committed to providing residents not only a place to live but a place to belong. The Neighborhood Event Planner & Party Host is employed in a full-time capacity, with the intention of delivering thoughtful and impactful community programming that aligns with the neighborhood's unique character and diverse population. The salary for this role is competitive within the event planning and residential hospitality industry, reflecting the responsibilities and expertise required.
In this multifaceted role, the Neighborhood Event Planner will develop and implement a detailed event plan projecting up to 90 days in advance, allowing for strategic and effective community engagement. Weekly neighborhood meet-ups are a core responsibility, with events tailored to a wide range of interests and age groups, promoting inclusiveness and active participation. The role involves directly reaching out to new move-ins, welcoming them warmly and providing comprehensive information about community events and neighborhood amenities to foster early connections and a sense of belonging.
Social clubs and specialized gatherings will be established and promoted as part of the event planner’s duties, designed to meet the diverse interests of the resident population. Identifying common interests and relevant trends within the community assists in curating targeted and engaging programming that resonates with residents from varied backgrounds and lifestyle preferences.
Moreover, the Neighborhood Event Planner will work closely with the cafe concierge manager to support the staffing and operation of the neighborhood cafe. This includes providing concierge services as delegated, enhancing the neighborhood amenities and resident experience. The role requires meticulous organizational skills to maintain detailed records of event specifics, attendance, and participant feedback. This data collection is integral to evaluating the success and return on investment (ROI) for each event, allowing continuous improvement of programming strategies.
Beyond event execution, the Neighborhood Event Planner must foster a warm and inclusive environment that encourages resident participation and active engagement. Partnering with the property management team ensures that event initiatives align with the broader objectives and vision for the Upper East Side residential neighborhood. Additionally, the upkeep of event storage areas is essential, requiring regular weekly organization, cleaning, and quarterly inventory audits to maintain efficiency and readiness for upcoming events.
This role is ideal for individuals passionate about community building, with a knack for event planning and excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. The Neighborhood Event Planner contributes significantly to making the residential neighborhood not only a place to live but a thriving community where residents feel connected, valued, and engaged.
