The role of the Housekeeper at Sandpiper Hospitality is critical to maintaining the impeccable standards that guests expect. This position is a physical, hands-on role responsible for cleaning and maintaining assigned areas to the highest hygiene and presentation benchmarks. The Housekeeper plays an essential part in creating a welcoming and spotless environment, directly contributing to guest comfort and satisfaction. The responsibilities include cleaning guestrooms, common areas such as the lobby, corridors, elevators, laundry facilities, and stairways, as well as replenishing supplies and managing waste efficiently.
Beyond cleaning, the Housekeeper is tasked with maintaining housekeeping equipment and carts, ensuring they are organized and ready for use. They also represent the company by interacting with guests in a friendly and professional manner, enhancing the guest experience. Safety and security are top priorities in this role, requiring strict adherence to policies designed to protect employees, guests, and company property. Job Duties
- Clean hotel areas including guestrooms, lobby, corridors, elevators, laundry facility, and stairways according to company standards and within required time frames
- replenish supplies such as bathroom necessities, drinking glasses, linen and terry in various areas
- transport trash and waste to the disposal area efficiently and hygienically
- stock, organize, and maintain housekeeping carts and equipment to ensure readiness
- always greet guests in a warm, friendly manner providing a welcoming presence
- strictly adhere to safety and security policies
- use all materials, chemicals, and tools safely to avoid injury or accidents
- perform house laundry duties including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and storing company linen and terry
- contribute to cleaning and organizing the House and Commercial Laundry areas
