This full-time Housekeeper position plays a critical role in upholding these high standards by performing general housekeeping duties within the resorts. The role involves ensuring that all amenities and public areas are immaculate, sanitized, and fully stocked to accommodate guests during posted operating hours. The Housekeeper is expected to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in various resort-specific zones, including restrooms, kitchens, common areas, offices, and laundry facilities. Essential tasks include sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, waxing, and buffing floors, cleaning windows and screens, and managing trash disposal, thereby contributing to a welcoming and safe resort environment.

This position demands exceptional attention to detail, organization, and effective time management to complete all assigned tasks efficiently. Candidates are expected to be proactive in following safety procedures and promptly reporting any hazardous conditions or equipment issues to resort management. Experience in janitorial work and knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and chemical safety are required. The role requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, and adapt to temperature changes within the work environment.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be hardworking, reliable and focused on providing exceptional customer service
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Previous experience cleaning homes or other large facilities
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general janitorial work
  • Knowledge of safety measures required when using various cleaning chemicals
  • Constantly stand, walk, and use hands
  • Lifting requirements: up to 25 lbs
  • Environment conditions: temperature changes

Job Duties

  • Clean, sanitize, and properly stock resort restrooms, kitchens and common areas
  • Maintain washers and dryers by cleaning all surfaces and removing lint
  • Ensure all floors are swept, vacuumed, mopped, waxed and buffed as needed
  • Ensure all windows, screens and window ledges are clean and functioning properly
  • Ensure all offices are clean and neat, empty trash containers as needed
  • Follow all safety procedures and precautions
  • Report unsafe or hazardous conditions, incidents, accidents and/or defective equipment to the resort manager or maintenance supervisor
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned
