Cowboys Golf Club, located in Grapevine, TX, is a premier golf and country club offering world-class amenities and experiences to its members and guests. As part of the Arcis Golf family, one of the largest owners and operators of golf clubs in the United States, Cowboys Golf Club is dedicated to creating memorable moments through exceptional service, hospitality, and a deep commitment to community and team collaboration. Arcis Golf emphasizes an inclusive culture, where team members thrive by anticipating the needs of others, forging genuine connections, and elevating the overall experience for both members and visitors. This supportive environment encourages individuals to bring their unique strengths to the table, fostering a respectful and grateful spirit each day.
The Culinary Chef at Cowboys Golf Club plays a pivotal leadership role in the culinary department, overseeing all kitchen operations to meet the club’s high standards for quality and service. This full-time position requires not only culinary expertise but also strong management skills to lead and develop a talented culinary team. The Chef ensures consistent adherence to operational standards and national programs, such as menu development and inventory control, while focusing on maximizing profitability and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment in compliance with all federal, state, and local health regulations.
The ideal candidate will be instrumental in crafting and executing both short-term and long-term operational and financial strategies to elevate the culinary offerings and operational efficiency. This role involves evaluating financial results with sensitivity to profit margins, analyzing problems when targets are not met, and implementing effective solutions. The Culinary Chef also plays a crucial role in innovating menu items, creating custom menus for events, and sustaining high quality and timeliness in food preparation. Additionally, the position requires close communication with various departments, ensuring all teams are well-informed and aligned with club events and programming.
Beyond daily management duties, the Chef is expected to foster a positive work culture by selecting, developing, and retaining skilled culinary staff who share the club’s passion for excellence and service. Regular review of guest and member feedback guides continuous improvement, ensuring the club upholds its reputation for outstanding dining experiences. Working conditions may require flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, reflective of the hospitality industry's demands. Certification requirements include obtaining a food service permit as dictated by local laws and completing ServSafe certification within 30 days of hire.
This role not only demands culinary and managerial expertise but also strong communication and organizational skills, critical thinking, and the ability to motivate and solve problems effectively. Candidates should be comfortable with budget review, inventory analysis, and financial reporting, using these insights to guide their operational decisions. Cowboys Golf Club and Arcis Golf are committed to equal employment opportunities, fostering diversity and inclusion without discrimination of any kind, and comply with all legal statutes including participation in E-Verify.
