Job Description
ABS Kids is a dedicated organization focused on providing exceptional care and support to children with autism spectrum disorder and their families. Rooted in the belief that every "wow moment" represents progress, ABS Kids creates impactful milestones that enrich the lives of those they serve. The company prides itself on fostering a diverse and inclusive culture where every individual's story is valued and celebrated. This commitment to diversity extends to all aspects of employment, ensuring equal opportunities regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, or Veteran status. ABS Kids operates as a leading service provider in California, delivering evidence-based behavioral health care through compassionate and skilled professionals.
The role at ABS Kids is centered around making a meaningful impact in the lives of children affected by autism. As a Care Provider, you will implement individualized behavior plans and protocols designed specifically by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) under their guidance. This position requires delivering one-on-one support to clients, collecting and recording data on client behavior and progress, and helping children develop essential life skills such as motor skills, personal hygiene, daily living activities, potty training, and social-emotional competencies. The role demands physical stamina, as it involves frequently getting up and down from the floor and moving quickly to engage with clients dynamically.
Beyond the day-to-day duties, ABS Kids supports its employees with an extensive benefits package that includes competitive pay rates ranging from $20.00 to $24.50 per hour, an additional $500 bonus after 90 days of employment, and further pay increases with Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification. Employees receive paid drive time and mileage reimbursement, 401(k) plans including company matches, paid time off earned for every hour worked, and comprehensive paid training. ABS Kids also offers a structured career path with clear milestones that come with rewards such as bonuses and promotions, a referral bonus program, free continuing education opportunities, CPR and safety training, and access to an employee assistance program with free financial advice, counseling, and mental health resources.
Working at ABS Kids means joining a vibrant community of colleagues nationwide, with virtual office connectivity and fun local events to foster teamwork and professional growth. This position provides an excellent opportunity to learn transferable skills essential for careers in behavioral health, underscoring a commitment to evidence-based methods proven effective in improving the quality of care. If you are energetic, reliable, tech-savvy, and passionate about making a positive difference in children's lives, this role offers a fulfilling, enriching career path with substantial support and growth opportunities.
This is a California-based role that offers candidates with over six months of documented experience working with children or adults with special needs a $500 bonus, emphasizing the organization's appreciation for seasoned professionals in this vital field.
