The role of Seasonal Full-Time Bar Back at Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe is a dynamic and essential position within the resort’s vibrant bar and beverage service team. This role calls for an energetic, personable individual passionate about hospitality and providing outstanding guest experiences. The Bar Back supports bartenders by ensuring the bar is well-stocked with liquor, beer, wine, and cocktail supplies, allowing efficient service even during peak periods. The position involves maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, preparing garnishes, refilling ice bins, and managing the physical demands such as carrying kegs and boxes safely. The Bar Back also uses their detailed knowledge of beverages to assist the team and enhance the overall guest experience. Operating the Micros POS system for processing orders adds an important operational aspect to the role. Additionally, the Bar Back acts as a friendly point of contact by greeting guests, assisting with seating when the hostess is unavailable, and responding promptly to guest needs or concerns. Collaboration with bartenders and service staff is vital for anticipating guest requests and ensuring timely, top-tier service. Adherence to Four Seasons’ strict standards concerning quality, safety, and compliance with New Mexico alcohol laws and health regulations is fundamental to this position. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in bar back, bar server, or related hospitality role
  • current New Mexico Alcohol Server Certification
  • current Food Handler Certification
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • physical stamina to stand for extended periods
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • US work authorization required unless currently holding a managerial role within Four Seasons
  • excellent personal presentation and communication skills
  • outgoing and compassionate nature
  • natural team player

Job Qualifications

  • strong knowledge of food and beverage, including cocktails, beers, and wines, is highly preferred
  • current New Mexico Alcohol Server Certification and Food Handler Certification required

  • physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • US work authorization required unless currently holding a managerial role within Four Seasons

Job Duties
