As a longstanding establishment in the community, Cafe Sevilla offers a unique blend of dining and entertainment, combining delicious tapas and expertly crafted cocktails with live music and a lively club environment. The venue is committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction, ensuring that every visit is enjoyable and engaging. Employing a diverse and passionate team, Cafe Sevilla fosters a collaborative work environment where employees are encouraged to contribute to the overall success and positive culture of the club. The position of Porter & Barback is an essential part of this dynamic setting, playing a vital role in supporting the bar operations and enhancing the guest experience.

The Porter & Barback at Cafe Sevilla is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of the club bar and facilities. This role is crucial in ensuring that all areas, including the Tapas bar, Patio, Club, and Club washrooms, are clean, free from safety hazards, well-stocked, and properly maintained to meet company standards. The position demands a strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to facility management and guest service support. The Porter & Barback assists bartenders and VIP cocktail servers with various tasks such as stocking bars with ice and supplies, managing table maintenance, and facilitating efficient closing procedures. This role contributes directly to creating a welcoming environment and encouraging repeat patronage by supporting the smooth operation of the club.

Cafe Sevilla emphasizes teamwork and a positive attitude, expecting employees in this position to work collaboratively with coworkers and management to uphold the club’s high standards. The Porter & Barback is not authorized to handle guest disputes or security matters; these responsibilities are reserved for management. However, the position requires vigilance regarding safety concerns such as underage drinking and maintenance issues, reporting them promptly to management. The role involves adhering to established protocols, including clock-in/out procedures, break policies, and dress codes as outlined in the Sevilla Handbook. Attendance at mandatory staff meetings and participation in ongoing training programs are also key components of the job.

Overall, the Porter & Barback position at Cafe Sevilla offers individuals an opportunity to be part of a vibrant nightlife venue, contributing to a fun, safe, and well-managed environment. This entry-level role provides valuable experience in nightclub operations and guest service, ideal for those seeking a career in hospitality and entertainment.
