As a growing business in the healthcare and home care industry, Cornerstone continually invests in its people and operations to elevate the client experience and promote caregiver well-being.

The Assistant Operating Director (AOD) position at Cornerstone Caregiving is a vital leadership role based in Modesto, CA. As the Operating Director's second-in-command, the AOD plays a crucial role in overseeing in-office operations, coordinating scheduling, supporting and developing staff, and ensuring the highest quality of client care. This full-time leadership role offers a competitive salary of $70,304 annually, along with comprehensive benefits and bonus opportunities, making it an excellent career option for experienced managers passionate about healthcare and leadership.

In this role, the Assistant Operating Director will serve as the primary partner to the Operating Director in driving daily office operations. This includes leading, coaching, and supporting in-office staff by reinforcing Cornerstone's standards, values, and culture. The role also involves sharing on-call responsibilities with office leadership, overseeing administrative workflows such as payroll notes, shift verification, and operations updates, as well as maintaining accurate documentation in line with company policies and state regulations.

A key focus of the position is ensuring exceptional client care and quality assurance. They will handle client escalations with professionalism and empathy and conduct routine check-up calls, quality visits, and client follow-ups to maintain satisfaction and continuity of care. Additionally, they ensure state-required supervisory visits are completed and serve as a backup for client assessments in the absence of the Operating Director.

This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy developing people, and excel at operational excellence. Cornerstone Caregiving values leaders who demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Candidates will have the opportunity to work in a supportive, mission-driven environment where their leadership makes a direct impact on seniors, caregivers, and families within their community.
