We are a renowned hospitality organization operating a unique and vibrant theme park with an extensive food and beverage division encompassing 22 restaurants, various carts, special events, catering operations, and picnic programs. We are currently seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Executive Chef to lead our comprehensive culinary team. This pivotal leadership role oversees all culinary functions across the park’s diverse foodservice landscape, including restaurants, carts, special events, and catering operations. The Executive Chef will be responsible for recruiting, training, mentoring, and managing a talented culinary staff, nurturing a culture of excellence, engagement, and accountability. Reporting directly to the Vice President of In-Park Services and maintaining a collaborative relationship with the Director of Food & Beverage, the Executive Chef will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight, ensuring exceptional quality, consistency, innovation, and guest satisfaction. This position demands a visionary culinary leader able to set the park’s culinary direction through menu development, food safety, cost management, labor planning, and team development.

This role requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record of success in culinary leadership within complex, multi-outlet environments. The Executive Chef will be tasked with developing creative and innovative menu options that delight guests and enhance revenue, managing food quality standards, safety compliance, financial performance, and operational efficiency. They will oversee hiring and staff development initiatives to build and sustain a high-performing culinary team focused on delivering memorable dining experiences. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in culinary arts, hospitality management, or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of culinary leadership experience
  • At least 5 years of senior leadership experience managing multiple foodservice outlets
  • Proven team leadership and development skills
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Experience in menu development and financial management
  • Valid California Food Handler Card and ServSafe Food Manager Certification
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in culinary arts, hospitality management, food service management, business management, or related field
  • Minimum 8-10 years of progressively responsible culinary leadership experience
  • At least 5 years in senior leadership overseeing multiple foodservice outlets or large-scale culinary production
  • Proven ability to build and develop a culinary team with a strong culture of excellence
  • Experience in menu development, purchasing, inventory management, budgeting, and labor management
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation programs
  • Experience managing catering, banquet, picnic, and special event operations
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Valid California Food Handler Card and ServSafe Food Manager Certification
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
