The University of Maryland Medical System is a private, non-profit, university-based health system focused on serving the medical needs of Maryland with primary and specialty care at 11 hospitals across the state, along with more than 150 outpatient locations and a network of urgent care sites. As one of the largest private employers in the state, our 29,000 employees and 4,600 affiliated providers bring innovation to the care we provide, and we are also educating the state’s future health care professionals through partnerships with the University of Maryland School of Medicine and the UM Schools of Nursing, Pharmacy, Social Work and Dentistry in Baltimore.
