Overview:

Sightglass is an independent, sibling-owned coffee company based out of San Francisco.

The ‘Sightglass’ is the viewing window into our roaster, through which we get to watch the delicate process of roasting coffee. Sightglass works to offer what our name implies: a clear vision, a fully transparent and traceable perspective.

We believe that each coffee’s story is a remarkable and important one, and feel honored for the opportunity to share it with our customers. We tell the stories of where our coffees are grown, of the crucial processes each underwent, and most importantly of the individuals who have labored over those coffees at every step.

We travel to origin throughout the year, to visit and check in with our cherished producers, and to see how we can better support them. We work with our producers to establish quality-based financial incentives, which ensure our relationships are mutually beneficial ones.

Our retail spaces are designed to immerse guests in each of our processes—roasting, packaging, and especially preparation. We roast our coffees in-house, in small batches, right in front of our customer’s eyes. Our baristas understand the labor that has gone into each coffee they prepare, and take pride in having the last hand in what is a long and beautiful pursuit.

Our coffees are enjoyed at some of the most celebrated restaurants and cafes in the country. We roast their coffees to-order each week, ensuring their customers are served the freshest, most exceptional coffees available. We are careful to partner with only those establishments that share our ideals and who pursue our same level of craft and quality.
