Recovery Resources
Overview:
As an independent behavioral health 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Cuyahoga County, Recovery Resources has been helping people triumph over mental health challenges, alcoholism, drug, and other addictions since 1955. We offer a variety of services to clients, including employment services, recovery housing, case management, individual and group behavioral counseling, MAT (medicated assisted treatment) and MOUD (medications for opioid use disorder) services, forensic services, prevention services, and gambling treatment services.
Our unique affiliation with The MetroHealth System, a nationally ranked 501(c)(3) nonprofit hospital system, allows clients to receive coordinated care for physical health, including primary care and preventative care options. When a client is first referred to Recovery Resources, they are greeted by a Peer Navigator or Peer Support. These individuals have lived experience and can personally connect with clients. Peer Navigators and Peer Supports usually are the first supportive person the clients have connected with in an exceptionally long time.
After a client completes an assessment, they are connected to recommended internal services. For individuals recovering from substance use, they are referred to internal Medicated Assisted Treatment. Clients will receive a combination of Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP) services, including case management, individual and group therapy, and medication to help relieve withdrawal. For individuals with mental health concerns, they are connected to licensed clinicians and receive behavioral health services. Additionally, case management staff provide “wrap-around services”, including linking clients to housing, transportation, food, clothing, and other critical resources for survival.
For clients that are interested in gainful employment, they are provided employment services. These services include job preparation, resume building, assistance with applications, interview preparation, and job coaching. Finally, we run multiple housing recovery sites in the county. As recent years have shown, mental health and substance use services have become increasingly needed by the community.
Recovery Resources is a client-centered organization, and all services are conducted through a client-first lens. Each client works with Recovery Resources to design and implement a treatment plan that guides them through their personal recovery journey. Success is measured through the client’s perspective.
Recovery Resources services are always offered to those who need them, regardless of insurance or where they are on their journey. We consistently connect with the community to expand our services, and we aim to make behavioral health and substance use services accessible to all in need.
