Born in the midst of the pandemic, their dumplings are served with a high-tech twist. Brooklyn Dumpling Shop offers its customers contactless ordering with in-store kiosks and delivery.

Its stores offer a smartphone-driven ordering system that follows an automat format. Customers can order dumplings using their phones and collect them from the numbered lockers. Think of it like getting a bag of chips from a vending machine.

Founder Stratis Morfogen is a New York-based, third-gen restaurateur behind the book, Damn Good Dumplings. The restaurant continues to show steady growth, even launching a $1.5 million television ad campaign in 2023.

It also received investments from Shark Tank stars Matt Higgins and Kevin O’Leary, allowing for expansion. Brooklyn Dumpling Shop now has 32 stores listed on its website, with a majority of those coming soon.
