Position: Food Prep Assistant – Westwood Elementary 3 hrs/day
About: Westwood Elementary School is seeking a Food Prep Assistant to join their team. This role involves collaborating with the manager on food preparation, service, and sanitation, following MN Food Code and USDA Guidelines for School Nutrition, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen area and equipment. The successful candidate will also handle point of sale transactions, ensure compliance with district policies, and contribute to program improvements through excellent customer service and teamwork.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in food service; knowledge of food safety regulations; ability to lift up to 38 pounds, perform repetitive motions, and work on feet for extended periods; strong communication and teamwork skills
