Position: Flower Barista
About:
Dialogue is a plant-based, AAPI-owned cafe & flower shop located in the heart of Lower East Side. Their focus is on creative coffee, matcha, and tea-based drinks, with an emphasis on seasonal fruits and produce. Dialogue is looking for a Flower Barista to join the team to serve customers and maintain the beautiful, flower-adorned space.
Opening hours are 6am-7pm (7am-7pm on weekends. They are currently looking for both opening and closing shifts. If you love creative drinks, flowers, aesthetics, and interacting with customers, then this may be the perfect role for you!
Requirements:
Dialogue is seeking someone with a passion for coffee, tea-based drinks, and a keen appreciation for aesthetics, especially when it comes to flowers. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy connecting with customers, and have experience in latte art, Dialogue would love to hear from you. Attention to detail and strong communication skills are key, as is the ability to obtain an NYC Food Protection Certificate within the first month of joining the team. If you’re multilingual, that’s a big plus!
In this role, you’ll be preparing and serving a variety of coffee and tea beverages, as well as small food items, while ensuring the store maintains impeccable cleanliness and appearance. You’ll also assist in arranging floral displays, creating a cozy and inviting ambiance for guests. Providing exceptional customer service will be at the heart of what you do, as you’ll engage with guests, answer their questions, and offer personalized recommendations. You’ll also help maintain an organized inventory, and your valuable insights will be welcomed by the management team. Above all, you’ll adhere to sanitation and food safety standards while performing various tasks as needed to support the business.
