Position: Department Coordinator
About: Under the supervision of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), the Administrative Assistant will be the Department Coordinator. As the Department Coordinator, the incumbent will provide general administrative support to the Chair, CAO, faculty, staff, students, and affiliates/visitors of the Life Sciences Core Education Department. Major duties include front office management, facilities management, event coordination, and space inventory oversight.
Requirements: Demonstrated skill in providing clerical and administrative support in an office environment; Ability to communicate program information accurately and effectively; Skill in writing clear and concise correspondence; Ability to handle difficult situations and emergencies effectively; Skill in prioritizing assignments and meeting deadlines; Proficiency in word processing and web-based formats; Ability to interpret policies and convey information accurately; Event and meeting planning skills; Discretion in handling confidential information; Ability to set priorities and work with constant interruptions; Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
