Currently, Pelican Grand Beach Resort is seeking a Server to join their team in the Upscale Boutique Beach Restaurant. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-energy environment and enjoys delivering top-tier food and beverage service with a friendly and dynamic approach. The Server position is full-time and involves direct guest interaction, ensuring guests receive prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable service from the moment they are seated until their departure. Servers at Pelican Grand Beach Resort are expected to take accurate food and beverage orders, use suggestive selling techniques to enhance the dining experience, maintain cleanliness of dining areas, and handle guest payments efficiently. Job Requirements
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must possess basic computational ability
- Knowledge of table service standards
- Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware
- Ability to describe all menu items and methods of preparation
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be legally allowed to work in the United States
- Be available to work a flexible work schedule, to include weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in food and beverage service or related hospitality role
- Knowledge of table service standards
- Ability to describe menu items and methods of preparation accurately
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment
- Customer service orientation
- Basic computational skills
Job Duties
- Take orders for and serve all food and beverage requests, using suggestive selling techniques
- Clear tables during service
- Control guest checks and secure proper payment
- Ensure station and table set-ups are complete
- Perform various side duties as assigned by the Assistant Manager/Manager
- Maintain proper condition and cleanliness of dining areas and servicing equipment
