Job Requirements

  • Previous restaurant experience or food service background is preferred
  • Fine dining experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of POS systems such as Toast
  • Experience with OpenTable
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly energetic attitude and excellent communication abilities
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking between serving bussing and assisting colleagues
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing simple calculations for bills or tips
  • Understanding of food safety standards sanitation practices and proper food handling procedures
  • Experience in food industry roles such as serving host or hostess duties or food preparation enhances your candidacy
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays as required by restaurant operations

Job Duties

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements utilizing reservation systems such as OpenTable
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders ensuring special requests are noted and communicated clearly to the kitchen and bar staff
  • Use Toast POS systems to process orders payments and handle cash or card transactions efficiently
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities through suggestive selling techniques
  • Serve food and beverages promptly ensuring presentation standards are met while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation protocols
  • Clear tables efficiently by bussing dishes maintaining a tidy dining area and assisting with food preparation or kitchen support as needed
  • Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions resolving concerns quickly and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout the dining experience
