The Fort Lauderdale Marriott North is currently seeking a highly motivated On Call Banquet Server. This pivotal role involves preparing banquet rooms for functions, including setting tables with linens, silverware, and centerpieces, as well as serving guests during events. Successful candidates will play an essential role in facilitating smooth and efficient banquet operations by assisting in setup, serving food and beverages, and managing cleanup and breakdown after events. The banquet server will also be responsible for managing AM and PM break stations by preparing coffee, tea, snacks, and beverages while ensuring all workstations are properly stocked. Additional duties include engaging warmly with guests, taking special dietary requirements into consideration, and maintaining safety standards within the event spaces. This On Call, part-time position offers flexible work hours with compensation starting at $10.98 per hour.

Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years of relevant food service experience
- demonstrated ability to work efficiently in banquet service environment
- knowledge of alcoholic beverages and service procedures
- ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Duties
- set up banquet rooms including draping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, preparing drinks, and placing table centerpieces
- serve food and beverages to guests, carrying trays and clearing tables
- break down banquet rooms including bussing tables, putting away dirty linens and centerpieces, vacuuming, cleaning back halls, and organizing storerooms
- prepare and set up AM and PM break stations with coffee, tea, snacks, and beverages
- assist with event room setup according to meal periods and table needs
- perform food and beverage preparation duties such as preparing condiments and brewing coffee
- monitor assigned tables for customer satisfaction, quality, and additional service
- provide warm and sincere welcome and farewell to guests and handle guest inquiries and special dietary requests
