Job Requirements

  • Valid Food Handlers card
  • Ability to work part-time hours
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends
  • Physical ability to handle kitchen tasks and stand for extended periods
  • Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills

  • Experience in pastry cooking or baking preferred

Job Duties

  • Produce basic preparation-style pastry items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for residents and staff meals
  • Follow directions from Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or Cook Lead to complete assigned duties
  • Ensure timely preparation of all items needed for meals or events
  • Adhere to all established Dining Services policies and procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the pastry kitchen area
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering of pastry supplies
  • Contribute to the overall culinary excellence and innovation
