Job Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, behavioral science or a related field
- Knowledge of Baker Act policies and procedures
- Passion for assisting individuals on their journeys towards life-changing wellness
- Current FL driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to engage a wide variety of coworkers, clients and community agencies
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to pass Level II DCF Mental Health Fingerprinting, drug screen and local criminal check
Job Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Psychology, Behavioral Science or a related field
- 2 years of experience in the mental health field preferred
- Knowledge of Baker Act policies and procedures
- Passion for assisting individuals on their journeys towards life-changing wellness
- Current FL driver's license with clean driving record
- Spanish bilingual preferred
- Ability to engage a wide variety of coworkers, clients and community agencies
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Microsoft Office 365 skills including Teams/Video Conferencing and Electronic Medical Records experience strongly preferred
- Staying compliant on all training and immunizations
- Ability to pass Level II DCF Mental Health Fingerprinting, drug screen and local criminal check
Job Duties
- Working in a community setting with a CCSO Deputy as part of the multidisciplinary Behavioral Health Intervention Team
- Providing short term intervention and prevention strategies to assist with stabilization of individuals in the community
- Completing crisis assessments as well as referring/linking services
- Resource coordination to assist individuals to achieve short-term stabilization goals
- Conducting evaluations to determine need for professional initiation of involuntary examinations according to Florida Statute 394 (Baker Act)
- Cultivating an environment with a spirit of teamwork where all contributions matter equally
