Job Requirements

  • Completion of an approved culinary program or apprenticeship
  • One to two years of increasingly responsible pastry experience in a hotel environment
  • Ability to serve the needs of guests through verbal face-to-face interactions with discretion
  • Must demonstrate a positive attitude and professional demeanor
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to a high level of guest satisfaction
  • Completion of required training as scheduled
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to work AM, PM, weekend, and holiday shifts as required by operational needs

Job Duties

  • Prepare pastry items such as pastries, breads, desserts, ice cream, sorbet, mousse, custards, and cakes
  • Ensure high quality and consistent presentation of all pastry products
  • Collaborate with culinary and banquet teams to meet service demands
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen
  • Manage inventory and order pastry supplies as needed
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Train and mentor junior pastry staff
