Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 5 years of kitchen management or executive chef experience
  • proven experience in high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant venue
  • ability to manage and develop a team
  • valid ServSafe certification
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to adhere to food safety standards
  • capable of working in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, bending, standing for extended periods, and lifting with assistance

Job Qualifications

  • 5 plus years of kitchen management or executive chef experience
  • bachelor s or culinary degree preferred
  • experience in high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant venue required
  • extensive experience in banquet style events
  • experience managing and developing teams required
  • current ServSafe certification required
  • ServSafe instructor certification or ability to be certified preferred

Job Duties

  • adhere to the company s mandated food and beverage menu and purchasing programs
  • maintain budgeted revenue, costs of sales, labor, supplies, as well as operating cash flow as it relates to food operations
  • review monthly profit and loss statements and make adjustments as necessary
  • work with the operations team and sales staff to plan, supervise, and execute for all events including preparation, service, and cleanup
  • assist with cooking when needed
  • estimate food consumption and make purchases as appropriate from specified food program
  • schedule staff efficiently to accommodate business volume shifts
  • work with management to recruit, hire, train, and retain kitchen staff
  • develop key staff including sous chefs and lead cooks
  • ensure product quality, freshness, and presentation meet company standards
  • supervise and oversee the preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of all food
  • facilitate and manage all kitchen equipment maintenance
  • implement and conduct sanitation audits and cleaning schedules to comply with local Department of Health regulations
  • report critical issues to General Manager
