Sodexo Corporate Services is a global leader in providing comprehensive food services and facilities management that enhance the quality of life for clients and consumers around the world. Renowned for its dedication to excellence, innovation, and sustainability, Sodexo partners with organizations across various industries to deliver exceptional dining and service experiences. As part of its commitment to fostering inclusive and diverse work environments, Sodexo ensures that every employee is valued and respected, reflecting the company's core values and mission to create a better everyday for everyone and build a better life for all.

The Resource Executive Chef 2 role at Sodexo is an exciting leadership opportunity within the corporate dining segment, specifically supporting the prestigious Fannie Mae Midtown campus in Washington, DC. This flagship Sodexo account is known for its polished, client-facing environment, offering a mix of dining outlets such as a full-service corporate cafe, Starbucks retail operation, pantry services, and catering for executive meetings and events. The position involves a hands-on culinary leadership role that directly contributes to delivering high-quality, superior dining experiences to a discerning client base.

In this temporary resource role lasting up to one year, the Executive Chef 2 will have the unique opportunity to gain visibility and leadership experience in a high-profile corporate culinary setting. Resource roles are designed to support operational needs during periods such as vacation, family medical leave, or extended absence of permanent management staff. This position offers immediate eligibility to apply for permanent Sodexo roles and often leads to permanent placement based on the individual’s performance and contribution. The role provides an excellent platform for career acceleration within Sodexo, combining the stability of corporate dining with the dynamic challenges of managing a flagship account.

The Executive Chef 2’s responsibilities include overseeing daily culinary production, managing cafe and catering operations, driving recipe adherence and food quality standards, and collaborating closely with the leadership team to ensure an exceptional guest experience. This role requires a polished professional who can lead by example through hands-on cooking and effective team leadership, while maintaining close attention to detail in menu planning, ordering, inventory control, and food safety compliance.

Working Monday through Friday with some evening hours for events and no weekends, the position offers a balanced work schedule conducive to work-life balance. The candidate will thrive in a collaborative and professional atmosphere, where opportunities for growth and professional development are encouraged through Sodexo’s robust benefits, tuition reimbursement, and career advancement programs.

Sodexo’s commitment to fairness and respect in the workplace means that as an Executive Chef 2, you will be supported in building strong communication skills, refining client-facing interactions, and applying culinary expertise in a flexible and adaptable manner across different account cultures and operations. This role is ideal for a chef who possesses strong production skills, leadership capability, and a passion for delivering exceptional food service in a corporate setting. The position embodies Sodexo's values of professionalism, reliability, and dedication to food safety, making it a prestigious and rewarding opportunity for culinary professionals eager to elevate their careers.
