Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • five years of event sales experience
  • ability to talk and hear regularly
  • ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 60 pounds
  • proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • excellent organizational and communication skills
  • ability to work flexibly including evenings and weekends
  • ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • strong customer service skills
  • ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Job Qualifications

  • Five years of event sales experience

Job Duties

  • Serves as first point of contact with potential customers interested in renting space at Mark Arts
  • conducts tours and provides information on event options and pricing
  • develops floorplans for client approval
  • procures deposits at contract signing and manages final payments
  • oversees event deposit process including refunds
  • tracks customer satisfaction and follows up on feedback
  • manages monthly financial statements for event rentals
  • researches trends and recommends best use of event spaces
  • represents and markets rentals at expos and community events
  • develops and maintains vendor and internal contacts
  • develops annual budgets and monthly revenue forecasts
  • evaluates and adjusts rental fee structures
  • plans and directs event day activities
  • determines staffing needs and oversees event staff
  • secures contract security when required
  • serves as on-site Manager during events with alcohol to manage risk
  • manages preferred vendor relationships and monitors service delivery
  • maintains records on past, current, and upcoming rentals
  • collaborates with Exhibitions & Engagement Director to coordinate venue schedules
  • maintains event rental equipment
  • directs risk management and enforces insurance requirements
  • coordinates logistics for Mark Arts special events including fundraisers, gallery openings, and workshops
  • recruits and manages restaurant partners for culinary events
  • attends special events to oversee operations and ensure timelines are met
