The role of Hotel General Manager at Ambassador Hotel Wichita is a critical leadership position requiring strategic vision, operational expertise, and a passion for hospitality. This full-time role, offering a competitive salary of $149,000, is responsible for the overall management and success of the hotel. The General Manager serves as the Experience Leader, shaping the culture of the property and inspiring a team dedicated to delivering exceptional service. This includes overseeing daily operations across multiple departments such as Rooms Division, Sales, Engineering, Catering and Conference Services, Food and Beverage, and third-party vendors. A key focus of the role is to ensure that every guest interaction reflects the hotel’s commitment to luxury and personalized service, resolving guest concerns personally to foster loyalty and satisfaction.

Beyond day-to-day operations, the General Manager collaborates with corporate leadership to set and execute strategic goals that align with Coury Hospitality’s Experience Curator philosophy and the brand’s high standards. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years experience in hotel management or similar role
  • Proven success managing full-service or boutique hotels
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to work varied schedules including holidays, weekends, and nights
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 60 pounds
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions as required
  • Proficient with computer usage and software applications
