The Conference Coordinator will be responsible for the end-to-end management of event planning and execution, ensuring all aspects of conferencing are handled efficiently and professionally. As a key figure in the event management process, the Coordinator will develop, coordinate, and implement strategic planning for events, working closely with both campus and community stakeholders to guarantee successful event outcomes. In addition to logistical coordination, this role involves vital communication with vendors, sponsors, speakers, and other participants, making strong relationship management skills essential.
The role demands a blend of project management expertise and hands-on event execution capabilities. The successful candidate will coordinate venue selection, catering, travel arrangements, audiovisual needs, and accommodations while overseeing registration processes and budget management. They will also handle on-site event operations, troubleshoot issues in real-time, and prepare materials such as agendas and post-event reports. Collaboration with marketing and communications teams is necessary to promote events effectively and align them with the University's objectives.
