Job Description

Tanganyika Wildlife Park is a unique conservation-focused experience center located in Kansas, dedicated to inspiring wildlife appreciation and proactive conservation through immersive, interactive encounters. Unlike traditional zoos, Tanganyika goes beyond showcasing animals by creating emotionally impactful programs and events designed to foster a deep connection between guests and wildlife. The park offers guests the opportunity to get up close with a diverse collection of animals, making every visit an engaging adventure aimed at education and conservation advocacy. Tanganyika Wildlife Park emphasizes conservation 'one person at a time,' focusing on individual transformation through meaningful interactions with animals and nature.

Within this inspiring environment, the Event Coordinator role is a pivotal position that blends creativity, organization, and a passion for customer experience with a mission-driven purpose. The coordinator is responsible for orchestrating a range of unforgettable events, from elegant wildlife-surrounded weddings to corporate functions and private gatherings, ensuring every moment resonates with the park's conservation values. This full-time, salaried position involves managing varied event logistics, vendor communications, and day-of execution in a fast-paced, dynamic setting where no two days are the same. With a starting salary around $39,520, the role demands flexibility in work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, aligning with the park’s active event schedule.

Embracing the extraordinary, the Event Coordinator thrives on creating 'WOW' moments that captivate guests and inspire action. This role is ideal for someone who loves multitasking, excels in communication, and is passionate about curating seamless experiences that leave lasting impressions. Joining Tanganyika means being part of a team that values mentorship, personal development, and a supportive culture where employees are empowered to grow and contribute to a greater cause beyond their everyday duties. With benefits like health and dental insurance, unlimited PTO from day one, an employee assistance program, and family-friendly admission privileges, Tanganyika Wildlife Park offers a fulfilling career opportunity for individuals motivated to make a tangible conservation impact through exceptional events and guest engagement.
