Job Requirements
- Must possess basic reading skills
- At least 1 year’s restaurant dining room experience
- At least 6 months of gourmet restaurant dining room experience is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Requires standing and walking continuously with a tray up to 20lbs throughout the shift
- Must be able to lift and carry 20lbs
- Must be able to work in extreme heat during the summer months
- Must be able to stand for entire shift
- Must be able to access service area when picking up beverage orders
- Must be able to converse over the telephone in an environment with loud background noise
- Must be able to stop, bend and reach
- Must have manual dexterity required to write drink orders, prepare drinks and garnishes and beverage orders
- Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues
- Must be able to simultaneously handle the demands of many customers
- Food handlers card
- Alcohol awareness
Job Qualifications
- Basic reading skills
- At least 1 year restaurant dining room experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of menu items and specifications
- Proficiency in using Micros system
- Ability to describe dishes to guests
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Job Duties
- Deliver all foods in the kitchen to the guests in dining room
- Ensure kitchen is properly cleaned and set up before, during and after each shift
- Assist food servers, chefs and managers in accommodating guest needs and requests
- Maintain kitchen station supply stock at par levels
- Treat guests with courtesy and respect
- Describe main components of a dish upon delivery
- Assist front and back servers in keeping beverage and condiment stations supplied
- Replenish bread, butter, water, coffee and tea as needed during the meal
- Expedite food line and use Micros system
- Process guest payments and ring up food orders
- Adjust dining room tables
- Work in extreme weather conditions
- Assist clearing and resetting tables
- Operate as a member of a team
- Perform assigned side work
- Transport used linens, china glassware and flatware from kitchen to designated locations
- Clear tables and stack scraped dishes
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining room floor
- Additional related duties as requested by the front waiter and/or manager
