Kassi Beach is a vibrant establishment renowned for its exceptional food and beverage services, dedicated to creating memorable dining experiences for its guests. We are currently seeking a dedicated Food Runner to join our team and support the food and beverage operations of our outlet. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth and timely delivery of food and beverages to our guests, alongside maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining area. The Food Runner will play a key role in bussing and resetting tables promptly, assisting servers, and engaging with guests in a polite and responsive manner. This position requires a positive attitude that contributes to a cohesive team environment and supports frontline staff effectively.
As a Food Runner at Kassi Beach, you will be responsible for ensuring that all items are fully stocked and equipment is in excellent working order. You will be expected to thoroughly understand and consistently apply Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) regulations and standards in all aspects of your work. Cooperation and effective teamwork are crucial, as you will be working closely with both back-of-house (BOH) and front-of-house (FOH) staff to deliver exceptional service.
The role involves maintaining a clean, hygienic, and organized work environment, including tasks such as stocking supplies, polishing cutlery and glassware, folding napkins, cleaning menus, and sanitizing tables. You will clear tables, carry plates to the dishwashing area, and prepare basic non-alcoholic beverages like coffee, water, and iced tea. You will also provide guests with basic descriptions of food dishes and beverages when delivering orders, ensuring they have a pleasant dining experience.
High standards of excellence, execution, and cleanliness are expected at all times. The Food Runner must always carry an active SNHD Food Handler's card while on the property and strictly follow health and safety protocols, including operating equipment safely, handling and storing food correctly, maintaining temperature and time logs, and sanitizing work areas. Reporting any health and safety concerns immediately to leadership is essential to maintain compliance and contribute to successful health inspections.
This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills in English, the ability to work quickly and efficiently in a potentially noisy and fast-paced environment, and the physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, lift up to 30 lbs, and move through confined spaces. The Food Runner must also possess manual dexterity to operate kitchen tools and utensils and be patient and positive under pressure.
Ideal candidates will have at least three years of food and beverage experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and valid Food Service Handler Card and TABC certification for a minimum of six months. - Current legal and unrestricted ability to work in the United States
- high school or equivalent education required
- food service handler card and TABC certification that is currently valid for a minimum of at least 6 months
- minimum 3 years of food and beverage experience

Job Duties
- Ensure that items are fully stocked and equipment is in good working condition

- maintain a clean hygienic and organized work environment including stocking of supplies polishing cutlery glassware folding napkins cleaning menus sanitizing tables etc
