The role offered is oriented toward maintaining high hospitality standards within Highgate’s properties. This position is characterized by providing exceptional service quality to guests while maintaining strict cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout all hours of operation. Employees are expected to be attentive, friendly, and courteous at all times, not only to guests but also to managers and fellow team members. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and proper stocking of work areas based on meal periods, ensuring tables meet property-specific standards, managing soiled dishes and linens efficiently, and assisting in guest service tasks such as pre-bussing tables and promptly addressing guest requests. The position demands completion of opening and closing duties and adherence to daily side-work checklists. Effective communication skills are essential, particularly in answering phone inquiries with professionalism and efficiency. Team collaboration is highly valued, with employees expected to support their colleagues as needed. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by management, ensuring operational flexibility.

Physical requirements involve the ability to stand for the entire shift and perform tasks requiring exertion reaching up to 100 pounds occasionally. Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide the highest quality service possible to guests while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout hours of operation
  • Be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests, managers and fellow employees at all times
  • Keep work areas clean and properly stocked according to the meal period
  • Ensure tables are cleaned and set according to property standards
  • Break down trays of soiled dishes and linen in the dishroom following established guidelines
  • Assist by pre-bussing tables and promptly addressing guest requests
  • Complete daily opening and closing duties along with cleaning tasks as outlined in the side-work checklist
