Job Requirements

  • Current, legal, and unrestricted ability to work in the United States
  • High school or equivalent education required
  • Food Service Handler Card and TABC certification currently valid for a minimum of at least 6 months
  • Preferred 1-2 years experience in a full-service restaurant or lounge
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
  • Stand for periods of 8-10 hours
  • Communicate clearly in verbal and written English
  • Ability to bend, squat, and stretch in confined spaces
  • Comply with safety and health department procedures and laws
  • Maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • Adhere to hotel policies including attendance, safety, and behavior

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years experience in a full-service restaurant or lounge preferred
  • Current Food Handler's Card valid for at least 6 months
  • Current TABC certification valid for at least 6 months
  • Strong knowledge of SNHD regulations and standards
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively in a team
  • Excellent communication skills in verbal and written English
  • Ability to maintain clean and safe work areas consistently
  • Ability to prepare basic beverages and describe menu items
  • Leadership skills consistent with Virgin Hotels core values
  • Ability to participate actively in training sessions

Job Duties

  • Support servers through timely bussing and resetting of tables
  • Run food and beverages to guests
  • Engage politely and timely with guests and coworkers including basic menu descriptions
  • Ensure that items are fully stocked and equipment is in good working condition
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas
  • Follow SNHD regulations and standards consistently
  • Participate in seamless BOH and FOH operations ensuring proper service
  • Execute health and safety protocols while handling food and equipment
  • Report health and safety concerns to leadership
  • Contribute to successful SNHD inspections
  • Monitor cleanliness of place settings, tabletops, and floors
  • Perform customer service duties such as beverage and plate service
  • Communicate with cashier and servers for guest needs
  • Support server by running food and drinks as instructed
  • Maintain organized work environment including stocking supplies and cleaning
  • Clear tables and carry plates to dishwashing
  • Prepare basic non-alcoholic beverages
  • Explain basic details of food dishes and beverages to guests at delivery
  • Attend all required training sessions
  • Execute fabulous guest service
