Job Description

Aramark is a global leader in food services, facilities management, and uniform services, proudly serving millions of guests daily across 15 countries worldwide. With a robust commitment to excellence, innovation, and community impact, Aramark positions itself as not just a company, but a mission-driven organization focused on creating meaningful experiences for its employees and customers alike. Rooted in service and united by purpose, Aramark strives to do great things for its partners, communities, and the planet. The firm embodies a culture where every employee enjoys equal employment opportunities and a safe, inclusive workplace free from discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, gender, pregnancy, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, military status, protected veteran status, or other characteristics protected by applicable law.

The Chef Manager role at Aramark represents a unique leadership opportunity that combines culinary expertise, team development, operational management, and customer service excellence. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Chef Manager will take a hands-on approach to all culinary operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and exceptional dining experiences. This position is central to aligning the kitchen’s goals with the company’s broader mission, including managing safety protocols, overseeing budget requirements, and executing corporate programs aimed at continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

This role requires a passion for culinary arts and dedication to providing superior customer service. The Chef Manager will manage and train kitchen personnel, ensuring that all culinary activities—from food preparation to presentation—meet established standards of quality and hygiene. The role also includes responsibilities such as estimating food requirements, controlling costs through proper purchase requisitions, and overseeing the maintenance and proper operation of kitchen equipment.

Furthermore, the Chef Manager plays a critical role in menu planning by selecting and developing recipes, standardizing production methods to guarantee consistency, and establishing presentation techniques that enhance the dining experience. Special events such as catering will also be overseen by the Chef Manager, who may conduct culinary instruction or demonstrate cooking techniques to team members. This breadth of responsibilities makes the Chef Manager a pivotal figure in not only the kitchen's daily success but also the broader organizational goals related to customer satisfaction and financial performance.

Aramark values continuous learning and career growth. Working in this role, candidates will have access to various development opportunities to sharpen their skills and advance their careers. The organization fosters an environment where employees are encouraged to do what it takes to get the job done, with the flexibility to adapt to changing duties as needed. Overall, this position offers an enriching career path for culinary professionals passionate about leadership, innovation, and quality in a supportive, mission-driven environment.
