Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- 0 to 1 year related experience
- must be at or over the minimum age to serve alcohol based on local city and state regulations
- valid TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent alcohol-service certification if required
- ability to walk or stand for extended periods
- ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and occasionally move up to 50 pounds
- ability to use hands and arms for handling and reaching
- ability to taste and smell
- ability to perform repetitive motions
- punctuality and regular attendance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- 0 to 1 year related experience
- must be at or over the minimum age to serve alcohol based on local city and state regulations if applicable
- may require valid alcohol-service certification such as TIPS or TEAM and must comply with all state-specific alcohol training requirements
Job Duties
- Greet and seat guests, present menus, and introduce specials or menu changes
- provide knowledgeable recommendations on meals, beverages, and wine, and answer questions about menu items, allergens, and preparation
- accurately take and relay orders to the kitchen, confirm orders with guests, and process them in the correct sequence
- check all items for quality and completeness, ensuring that presentations are attractive, appetizing, and consistent
- monitor guest needs, respond to requests, and address concerns or complaints with professionalism
- significant walking or other means of mobility
- ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time, throughout the entire duration of a shift, which may exceed 8 hours
